Today’s leaders must navigate a unique set of cultural, social, and economic forces. Leaders need to be in touch with technological advances and interchanging worldviews, as well as shifting workplace structures, demographics, and expectations, to stay ahead of the competition.

New Leader is for supervisors, managers or team leaders who are looking to develop or build on their essential leadership skills and knowledge. The course covers key topics, including managing tasks and performance, handling conflict, teams, and leadership and communication styles.

Using 'real life' case studies to reinforce theory, you will take away fresh insights and a practical toolkit of essential leadership skills. Importantly, you will define and explore what effective leadership in your organisation looks like, and you will develop an individual action plan to support good leadership in your workplace, as it applies to your role.

Peter Ferreira

Peter is a specialist in business psychology and process facilitation with a passion for enabling organisations to work more effectively. An experienced management consultant, facilitator and executive coach, he is the owner of organisational development firm E-Cue Pty Ltd.

He has a track record of proven success spanning more than 20 years, and has worked with corporate executives, teams and individuals in the private and public sector. His industry experience covers a range of fields, including manufacturing, engineering, financial services, transport and logistics, sales and marketing, and construction.

Regarded as one of the top practitioners in his field in Australia, Peter is a regular consultant on UQ Business School’s Australian Owner Manager Program, and is currently providing leadership training to a range of top companies, including Hutchinson Builders, Toll Holdings, Ausenco and City of Gold Coast.
