Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership
An effective leader navigates through changing business environments, works collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, and makes decisions with incomplete or abstruse information. They capitalise on opportunities, and seek out success.
The Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership (GCELead) is designed for professionals who already have some leadership or supervisory experience and want to take their career to the next level.
This program is delivered in a collaborative environment by world-class academics and industry leaders. It blends intellectual rigour with practical, hands-on learning, and focuses on contemporary issues in leadership, as well as core business activities such as finance, marketing, leadership and strategy.
You will gain the key competencies and skills required for executive career development, and leave the program armed with razor-like business intelligence and the conviction to champion change and create lasting value.
To complete the program, participants must complete four courses (from the below list) and adhere to the rules for the program. Participants should be aware of The University of Queensland rules, particularly the General Award Rules, which govern the conduct of UQ programs. Entry requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership are as follows:
A Bachelor degree or equivalent with a GPA of at least 4.00 on a 7 point scale and four years full-time work experience post-graduation, including at least two of the four years full-time work experience gained while working in a dedicated supervisory/management role as approved by the Executive Dean. Or seven years full-time work experience including at least three of the seven years full-time work experience gained while working in a dedicated supervisory/management role as approved by the Executive Dean.
