Promote yourself: build your online personal brand

“You have to become an expert in articulating your key achievements and transferable skills.” - Richard Triggs, Arete Executive.

Join us for our next LIVE Event Series breakfast – Promote yourself: build your online personal brand – and learn how to develop, maintain, and leverage your unique personal brand.

Our LIVE event series provides today’s Leaders, Innovators, Visionaries, and Executives with the knowledge they need to transform, grow, and succeed.

Your online personal brand is now more important than ever, but harder to control.

With the advent of digital platforms and social media, and the proliferation of online business and communication, your online identity has never been more accessible to colleagues, businesses, and recruiters.

If you want to grow your career and expand your professional network, creating and maintaining your online personal brand is imperative. Your profile should capture and promote your unique attributes and strengths, and highlight your key achievements and transferable skills – on the right platforms to reach the right people.

But what are the right platforms for you, and how do you ensure your online profile is authentic, and effectively communicates your qualities?

Getting this right will allow you to leverage your personal brand for professional growth.

Delivered by Dr Nicole Hartley from UQ Business School, Richard Triggs from Arete Executive, and Demetri Hughes from 1Up Communications, this event will explore:

  • what it means to establish your personal brand and how it can help to transform your career
  • how you can ensure your brand is distinct and authentic
  • which digital tools and social platforms are best for you to communicate your brand
  • the importance of “walking the talk.”

You’ll also gain insights into best practices and key pitfalls that can be encountered when building your personal brand, and discuss the value of brand consistency in the online and offline space.
